My husband CJ, takes our dog Bella for a walk every morning like clock-work. They are often out the door before I head to the gym, a place I go four days a week. (Well, I did before COVID 19, and I had to create a home gym. But that’s another story.)
Our small community has a wonderful walking path along a major thoroughfare, that lines a series of lovely and peaceful alfalfa fields. Frequently CJ and Bella’s walks, take them on that path.
So, I’m heading out to the gym driving along that walking path, and up in the distance I see my husband and Bella coming my way. As I approach, I beep a few times and wave frantically, blowing kisses as I’m known to do when my husband is involved.
When I’m right up on them–I realize that is not my husband and that is not our dog. The expression on the guys face was wonderfully, hysterically perplexed.
I laughed all the way to the gym.
Good God, when did things get so complicated?
